Urwin’s designs feature gentle curves, soft edges and minimal lines that hint of the organic shapes of the 1960s and 70s while also feeling very up to date. The result is a retro/modern look that’s both elegant and striking.
These exquisite pieces will effortlessly elevate any interior design project, from kitchen cabinets and wardrobes to pocket doors and statement interior doors.
We named the collection after celebrated Modernist architect Sir Basil Urwin Spence, whose work included the acclaimed rebuilding of Coventry Cathedral in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Stylish, abstract and as radical now as it was when it was first built, the cathedral is an endless source of inspiration, and we aimed to capture its unique spirit in our Urwin range.
Urwin: A Closer Look
The Urwin range encompasses:
• Cylinder cabinet pulls, with and without backplates, each in three sizes
• T-bar knobs, with and without backplates
• Long & curved pull handles, each in two sizes
• Rounded flush pull handles for sliding doors
Each piece is custom-made from sustainable and durable solid brass, and is available in 14 finishes to suit any setting. We are also happy to make bespoke sizes to suit your project perfectly.
The Urwin range was designed by us at our head office in the Cotswolds. The raw pieces are manufactured by a family-run factory in Italy, then carefully hand-finished in Birmingham before finally being assembled, checked and packed in our warehouse.
